Budget Prison

There are those who feel that living on a budget is like living on a diet. We are just not a culture of budget minded people and some would rather die then live that way. But, living with one can be terribly worrisome. It will take a change in your thinking to be able to live comfortably on a budget.
You must begin by planning where you money will go, before you get it. Unexpected emergencies come up and can take away all your saving work and then you feel like you failed. Some people have a plan for different outcomes, like plan A and B and C etc, and doing this they are ready for any outcome.
Planning for that unexpected is a necessary savings and if one does not come about, you must not use that money for something else. When an emergency does come up, pay for it with the savings and keep to your plan as usual. Here you need to change your way of thinking to not see this as prison, but instead a way to give peace of mind knowing you are prepared for anything.
